As Managing Director, John focuses on Voyager's strategic planning, partnerships and day-to-day operations. He is also a Co-Founder and actively part of the Leadership Council of the NYC Innovation Collective, a nonprofit alliance of NYC's top technology organizations working together to support program leaders of incubators, accelerators, and startup communities.
John also co-directs Startup Grind NYC, a monthly speaker series to educate, motivate, and connect entrepreneurs in over 250 cities around the world and cohosts two podcasts, Travel is Your Business, focusing on the intersection of travel, business, and technology, and 5to9, a podcast interviewing people who pursue passions through side projects outside their 9 to 5 jobs.
Prior to Voyager, he was most recently Sales & Marketing Manager at Made in NY Media Center by IFP, a city-supported startup incubator for media + tech entrepreneurs. Although he typically focuses on marketing, sales, and community development, John is a lover of music, art, and film, and a design and software enthusiast.
As Community Director, Jenny is responsible for spearheading Voyager HQ’s events and member programming, bringing new travel startups and mentors into the community, coordinating network introductions and occasionally screwing legs back onto tables.
Before joining Voyager HQ, Jenny was Event Coordinator at Northstar Travel Group, where she contributed to the success of award-winning B2B travel events Global Travel Marketplace, Global Travel Marketplace West, CruiseWorld, Mountain Travel Symposium and the European Mountain Travel Summit. She’s thrilled to now be involved in the exciting world of startups while staying close to her passion for travel.
As Marketing Manager, Gerardo oversees Voyager HQ's overall marketing strategy. Before he joined Voyager HQ, Gerardo worked in the service and hospitality industry while also being active in New York City’s theatre scene.
Gerardo grew up in California, Mexico, and Texas. A traveler at heart, he came to the city to study at New York University, with additional coursework at Columbia University, West University of Timisoara, and NYU Berlin.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE
Matthew is Voyager HQ's Business Development Associate, responsible for finding new business opportunities and assisting in partner and sponsor account management. He spends his summers working on his beach delivery startup Combrr and running City Sticks Parlor in Rockaway Beach. He has been involved in every aspect of the hospitality industry for over 15 years.
Besides his interest in the startup world, Matthew is an avid traveler having visited over 30 countries and 45 U.S states. He often winds up at the most isolated beaches in the world, surfing waves with only a handful of locals.

BOARD MEMBER, CORPORATE ADVISOR
Andrew was Voyage HQ's founding Managing Director, and currently serves as a board member and corporate advisor. He began his career as a strategist and account director in advertising agencies overseeing award winning work for innovative clients including AMEX, HBO, Virgin Group, Conan O'Brien, and Microsoft.
While working with Danny Meyer (founder of Shake Shack), Andrew was inspired to take an entrepreneurial leap and helped launch Commonwealth Proper, a luxury clothing brand based in Philadelphia, which he grew into a thriving business with multiple locations before successfully selling his stake in the business and moving to New York City in 2014. Since then, Andrew has applied his skills and insights to successfully launch several co-working spaces, while also supporting numerous startup founders in the areas of raising capital, defining their business plans, and connecting with corporate partners.
